The project involved the full foundation and industrial floor slab for a 1,210m² warehouse facility in Kosmio, Rodopi. The client required a high-flatness industrial floor capable of supporting heavy forklift traffic and racking systems, with long-term durability as the primary requirement.
The concrete mix design used C25/30 grade with B500C reinforcement bars. Laser Screed technology was deployed to achieve a flatness tolerance of ±3mm across the entire slab surface. Power Trowel finishing created a sealed, dustproof surface meeting DIN 18202 flatness standards. Construction joints were positioned at 6m × 6m grid to control cracking. Steel fibre reinforcement supplemented the rebar in the upper mat.
The main challenge was the tight 6-week programme during winter conditions in northern Greece. We deployed two Laser Screed machines in parallel to meet the schedule. Ground preparation required importing 400m³ of granular sub-base to achieve the required bearing capacity. Daily concrete quality control testing was conducted on-site to ensure consistent mix design.
